NEW SPEAKER RIVERS STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY, RT. HON. BARR. EDISON EHIE ESCAPES ASSASSINATION.


Unconfirmed police report has it that at about 11pm on Sunday 19th November, 2023, a group of Armed thugs attacked the private residence of the new Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly,  Rt. Hon. Barr. Edison Ogerenye Ehie.


Obviously, the level of attack shows that the intension of the fully armed thugs was to assassinate Mr. Speaker and his family.


Recall that the attack and the explosion that rocked, setting ablaze the hallowed chambers of the Rivers State House of Assembly also happened on a Sunday night, at about 9.45pm on 29th October 2023.


Night time attacks seemed to be the pattern and time used by these detractors to cause a breakdown of law and order with impunity in Rivers State.
